Disruptor Turrets are the first of four turrets used by higher level players. About four levels (20 turrets) are enough to shoot down a Titan, but don't overestimate them. Most higher level players however scrap these turrets in order to make room for Planetary Rings, but they are very effective to counter big attacks. It demands Disruptor research level 1.
